How it works:
In this all wireless example, Access Points which are located in common areas are connected to a central location via a gigabit capacity Ethernet and provide signal coverage throughout the units and in all public areas. The Wi-Fi signals can travel through walls and cover an area about 30-50 meters in diameter from their location. For buildings with larger units, a single wired connection can be brought into a unit, so that wired or wireless coverage can be provided. The wired LAN also provides the "pipe" for all other converged services including VOIP, IPTV based movies and music on demand, and smart building controls.
Wireless internet access is made available throughout the building.
